Oslo, 25 March 2021 -- Wallenius Wilhelmsen ASA publishes its Annual Report for 2020

In a comment, acting CEO Torbjørn Wist said: "Despite the tumultuous year, we were able to navigate our way through successfully. Together with the incredible efforts and resilience of our employees, and strong support from our customers, we were able to provide a seamless delivery of our services in a rapidly changing environment."

Key highlights:

Financial: o Total revenue was USD 2,958m in 2020, a decrease of 24% compared to 2019, with lower revenues for both the ocean and landbased segments due to COVID19 o EBITDA ended at USD 473m for 2020 compared to USD 805m in 2019 o Net loss for the full year of 2020 ended at USD 302m o Solid liquidity position, with cash and cash equivalents of USD 654m and USD 326m in undrawn credit facilities

Sustainability: o This year the sustainability report uses industry-specific disclosure standards from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) o The company has developed Science-Based Targets to guide its zero-emissions journey with emission reduction targets in line with current climate science and the Paris Climate Agreement. These targets are: o 2.5% annual reduction in CO2 intensity until 2030 o 27.5% total reduction in CO2 intensity by 2030 o The company has begun adopting the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures to help inform its climate actions and disclosures
