As urbanisation steams ahead, the rail industry faces increasing demand to provide effective and environmentally sound transportation.

Rail logistics leaders face challenges that range from meeting high volume, high value product deliveries within tight timeframes, to ensuring damage-free delivery of long and high rolling stock.

Rocky Mountaineer rail carriages

We understand these challenges and have developed processes that eliminate the need for lifting entirely, with a range of equipment solutions to cater for everything from railcar shells to locomotives and beyond.

Our industry-leading liner services, network reach and schedule reliability provides ocean transportation that give peace of mind. Efficient and high-quality cargo handling in port ensures a fast turnaround and timely final delivery to our customers. In fact, many of our terminals have rail access for direct commission, so your products can be ready to roll right away.

Multi-Purpose Bogie (MPB)

The Multi-Purpose Bogie (MPB) are used in pairs and are suitable for long cargo up to 140 tonnes. The MPB can be fitted with different kind of attachments depending on the cargo. For instance, railed beams for trains and locomotives or a 22 m transport platform to create a roll trailer which can be maneuvered from both ends. The turntables, of the MPBS, can also be connected together to create a short, light version of our Samson trailers. The Samson light is suitable for generators and transformers.

Samson Light

The Samson light handling equipment consists of one set of MPBs which are connected together with a pushbar. The pushbars are designed to fit each cargo and is therefore available in several different lengths. This handling equipment has the same advantages as a regular MPB but it also offers two separate supporters and a heavy footprint, enabling the weight to be evenly distributed between the two bogies. This equipment is typically used for generators, transformers, rotors and heavy steam drums.
