With reference to the declared merger of Wilhelmsen and Wallenius as announced in a Letter of Intent dated 5 September 2016, Ms Rebekka Glasser Herlofsen is hired as CFO in Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics ASA. She will take up the new position only once the final approvals for creating the new company have been received.

"Establishing the new entity, realising expected synergies and creating a sustainable provider of shipping and logistics services require a vigilant, agile and visionary management," says Craig Jasienski, CEO in WWL ASA, about the first announcement of the new executive team.

"We are very pleased to have Rebekka join us once WWL ASA is established. She has a strong financial and investment banking background coupled with solid experience in operative businesses. Her board roles have provided valuable insight to different industries and our new company will combine ship ownership and global operations in multiple shipping and land-based entities. We believe Rebekka has the perfect combination of experience and skills needed to drive performance across the group and manage relations with our investors."
