On the ocean

Our ocean service remains stable, though with reduced service patterns in some trades. We understand that adjusting the schedules to meet the current demand of cargo could be suboptimal. As soon as we see volumes returning, we are committed to begin enhancing our service. Should you have any important projects in the pipeline, please contact your account manager to find a suitable solution together.

Bill of lading:
We encourage customers to take advantage of Express Release Bills of Lading in lieu of Original Bills of Lading (OBL), as the electronic process will help expedite the release of your cargo at destination. While we continue to support OBL’s, printing and sending original documentation may be delayed as our staff is working remotely.

In ports and terminals

Operations: Work continues as normal in ports to assist with the import and export of cargo as efficiently and safely as possible. Terminals remain open to handle truck dispatch, rail loading/unloading and crane lifts.

Terminals:
Our owned terminals in Baltimore, MD; Brunswick, GA; and Port Hueneme, CA remain open and operational with precautional measures in place in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Health Care:
Our terminals have incorporated WHO, CDC and other similar guidelines in line with the states in which they operate. While these may vary, staff continues to share and adopt best practices on how to keep staff safe and facilities clean. We discourage any non-critical site visits for both your and our employees' safety.

At our processing centres

Vehicle processing:
Operations:
Our port processing centers are open and operational, though with reduced staff as a result of market conditions. As production continues to be disrupted, even as OEMs start reopening plants, we continue to be flexible in the services we offer, how we organize our sites, as well as seeking additional storage options where necessary.

Mexico: Our processing facilities are open where customer operations continue. Employees continue to be provided PPE info and material, and facilities receive enhanced cleaning. As plants continue to reopen and ramp up production, we are working in tandem to have the necessary capacity and staff to support our customers’ operations.

Canada:
In Annacis we continue to process and ship vehicles, though with reduced staff. We are currently not facing any issues with rail capacity or vessel arrivals.

Health Care:
Employees who are healthy and comfortable working at the facilities are given PPE materials and instructions to ensure proper hygiene.

Some of the steps we’ve taken include:
· Masks: Providing mask alternatives such as scarfs/bandanas where masks are unavailable or reserved for medical professionals.
· Social Distancing: Enforcing of social distancing in common areas such as workstations, break rooms and locker areas.
· Cleaning: Enhancing cleaning of sites, including high touch areas such as time clocks, doors, shuttle vans, etc.
· Cleaning Convenience: Installation cleaning stations with hand sanitizer.

Equipment processing:
Operations:
Our equipment processing centres in the U.S. and Panama remain open and operational, though with reduced staff in some locations.

As OEMs continue to operate with varied manufacturing schedules, we are committed to supporting our customers as they face new and potentially unforeseen challenges to maintain a healthy supply chain. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs further.

Capacity: As we continue to see strong volumes at both our on-port and off-port EPC sites, we encourage our customers to both look at their upcoming forecasts and any planned changes to assist planning for our operations teams.

Health Care:
We continue to be proactive in educating employees on health risks and providing a safe working environment.

Site Visits: While we discourage site visits at present for both our customer and employee safety, we recognize the need for business-critical visits. We will accommodate in line with rules and regulations relative to the facility in effect at that time.

Inland distribution

Keen Transport’s trucks continue to operate and deliver units to and from ports, plants and dealerships. The regional maintenance facilities remain open to keep the fleet on the road.

Ample capacity is available for a variety of different size shipments, and our permitting team continues to secure the necessary approvals.

Drivers are issued with face masks, and surface cleaners are available at maintenance facilities to keep their cabins clean. We are thankful for the support our drivers have received throughout the United States.
